ISA Go Windsurfing

Irish Sailing Association Go Windsurfing Scheme

ISA Go Windsurfing

The ISA Go windsurfing scheme was developed around the concept of getting you up and going in as short a time as possible, hence the first section of the scheme is called GET UP & GO. Using wide style boards like the Starboard Start and RRD EasyRider ISA windsurfing schools can now take you to a level of competency in days which in the past would have taken weeks or even months.

RRD Easyrider

All the modern teaching sails are also light and very stable, and when matched with a wide style board it allows you to experience the thrill of windsurfing right from the onset of your course. When you start your first course you will receive a log book which will be stamped as you complete each of the modules you see in the picture below, after you complete all the modules in the individual sections you will then receive a card with your "GET UP & GO" certificate or your "GO FOR IT" or "GO WITH STYLE" certificate.

At WindWise we run courses at every level of the sport and can offer stamps for all three sections of the Scheme, also if you complete only some of your modules with WindWise you can complete the certificate in another Go Windsurfing recognised windsurfing centre.

Below is an image which show an overview of the Go Windsurfing syllabus and some of the techniques you can expect to cover. When we run courses we don't confine you to one level, instructors will very quickly have you trying skills from the next level if you are ready and feel that is what you want to learn next.
